This Privacy Policy describes how Fantasy PL Point Calculator ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application.

Fantasy PL Point Calculator is a companion tool for groups running private prize pools based on Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points. It is an independent, unofficial app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Premier League, Fantasy Premier League, or the Premier League's official app/service.

1. Summary (Plain-Language Overview)

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers.
All groups, players, stakes, and gameweek data you enter are stored locally on your device only. We do not operate a backend server and do not receive a copy of this data.
The App connects directly from your device to the official, public Fantasy Premier League API (fantasy.premierleague.com) to fetch gameweek points, league standings, and manager/team names for FPL IDs you choose to enter. This connection goes straight from your device to the FPL servers — it does not pass through us.
We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs in the App.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties, because we do not collect or hold it in the first place.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you use the App, you may voluntarily enter the following into the App's local storage on your own device:

Group names, gameweek ranges, and stake/prize configuration
Player display names you choose to add to a group
Optional FPL Team ID / FPL Manager ID and FPL League ID values, if you choose to use the "Import from FPL League" feature

This information is stored only in a local database on your device (using an on-device SQL database). It is never transmitted to us, and we have no ability to view, access, or retrieve it.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

We do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs, so the App does not automatically collect device identifiers, usage analytics, or crash logs for transmission to us or any third party.

2.3 Information Sent to Third-Party Services

To calculate points and standings, the App makes network requests directly from your device to the official public Fantasy Premier League API operated by the Premier League (fantasy.premierleague.com/api). These requests may include:

The FPL Team ID / Manager ID(s) and gameweek number(s) you enter or import, sent to FPL's servers to retrieve public gameweek points
The FPL League ID you enter, sent to FPL's servers to retrieve public league standings (manager names, team names)

Because this data (public FPL IDs and gameweek numbers) is sent directly from your device to Fantasy Premier League's own servers, it is subject to the Premier League's own privacy policy, not this one. We do not intercept, log, or store these requests or their responses on any server we control.

3. How We Use Information

Any information you enter is used solely to:

Display and calculate gameweek/season points, stakes, and prize distributions within groups you create
Populate group and player details when you use the FPL League Import feature

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than making the App function as described.

4. Data Storage and Security

All group, player, and settlement data is stored locally in an on-device database and remains on your device unless you back it up, export it, or uninstall the App.
Uninstalling the App permanently deletes this locally stored data (subject to your device's own OS backup behavior, e.g., Android Auto Backup, which is controlled by your device settings, not by us).
We do not operate any server infrastructure that stores your App data, so there is no central database of user data for us to secure, breach, or lose.
Exported settlement summaries or player statistics (PDF/image files you choose to generate and share) are created and stored locally on your device / chosen storage location, and are only shared further if you explicitly choose to share or download them.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties, because we do not collect or retain your data on any server.

The only external transmission that occurs is described in Section 2.3 (direct device-to-FPL-API requests for publicly available FPL data), which is necessary for the App's core functionality.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law — however, since we do not collect or hold user data, we do not anticipate having any user data to disclose.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not collect personal information from any user, this applies equally to all age groups.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Because all your App data resides locally on your own device:

You can view, edit, or delete any group, player, or settlement data at any time directly within the App.
You can delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's storage/data via your device's system settings.
You control what FPL IDs (if any) you choose to enter or import; you may use the App's manual entry features without ever contacting the FPL API if you prefer.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.), note that because we do not collect, store, or process personal data on any server, most data subject access/deletion request mechanisms are not applicable — you already have full local control over your data through the App and your device.

8. Permissions Used

The App requests the following device permission:

Internet access — required to fetch public gameweek points, league standings, and manager/team names from the official Fantasy Premier League API described in Section 2.3.

The App does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, storage beyond what's needed to save/share exported files, or any other sensitive device permission.
